The Story behind Fabuela Q
Fabuela Q Cookies is more than a home bakery - it's a story of family, love, and a little bit of fabulous.
The name Fabuela is a blend of fabulous and abuela, celebrating the joy of becoming a grandmother, while embracing the fun, bold spirit behind the brand. It pays homage to my Latina roots. The "Q" comes from my last name and is a nickname that many close friends have called me for years.
The blueberry in my Logo is a tribute to my grandson, lovingly nicknamed Blueberry, whose memory continues to inspire the creativity and heart that go into every cookie I make. Someday, we will bake cookies together in heaven.
The roses honor both my grandmother, who I share this name with, and my granddaughter, Liliana Rose.
Because at the end of the day, cookies are more than dessert. They're part of life's moments - the celebrations, milestones, and memories we share with the people we love the most.
Meet the Baker
By day, I work full-time in the banking industry, helping small businesses close their SBA loans. After hours, you'll usually find me in the kitchen rolling dough, mixing royal icing, and turning cookies into edible art.
I'm a self-taught cookie decorator who believes learning never stops. From delicate florals and themed party sets to corporate logos and printed designs, I love creating cookies that make people smile before they even take the first bite.
What Makes Fabuela Q Cookies Different
My signature cookie feature notes of cherry, almond, and amaretto, creating a rich flavor that's become a Fabuela Q favorite. I intentionally slightly underbake my cookies for a soft bite and believe royal icing should be soft too.
In addition to custom decorated sugar cookies, I also offered printed cookies - think logos - and cRookies - a decadent croissant-cookie hybrid that combines buttery croissant layers with the indulgence of a gourmet cookie.
Whether you're ordering one dozen for a small celebration or ordering for a large event, every order receives the same attention to detail and care.
A Few Fun Facts About Me
- I am a thyroid cancer survivor, so I don't take life -or cookies - for granted.
- I once won a H2 Hummer from 97.9 The Beat. Yes, really.
- I did not even like decorated sugar cookies until I attended a cookie decorating class and started making my own. Now I am a bit of a cookie snob. No dried out, over-baked, vanilla sugar cookies for me!!
